164 women SIs pass out of RPF Training Centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad,(Asian independent) A total of 164 women sub-inspector cadets of Railway Protection Force (RPF) passed out of RPF Training Centre, Moula Ali here on Friday.

RPF Director General Arun Kumar reviewed the passing-out parade of first batch of 164 All Women RPF Sub-Inspector cadets.

He inspected the parade contingents, received the salute and participated in their oath taking ceremony. In his address, he advised the women sub-inspectors to be ready for security of railway property and passengers.

He stressed the need for special care of the vulnerable sections of the society, women and children. He wished the young cadets a bright future.

Later, Arun Kumar presented medals and certificates of excellence to the cadets showing outstanding performance. V. Pragna was adjudged best cadet as well as best in outdoor events while Prachee was adjudged as best in indoor events.

South Central Railway General Manager Gajanan Mallya congratulated the women sub-inspector cadets for their outstanding performance in their training and expressed confidence that they will replicate the same in their duties, combining both professionalism and compassion. He also advised the cadets to be alert all the time in safeguarding the railway assets and in ensuring the security of the passengers.

RPF Training Centre Director Sanjay Sankrityanan said the centre was shouldered with the responsibility of training a exclusively women’s batch for the first time.

The sub-inspector cadets have been rigorously trained for nine months in indoor and outdoor subjects to face the upcoming challenges in railways.

Another 83 women sub-inspectors will pass out within a month and 36 are now undergoing initial training.
